David has gained considerable experience in hydrogeological studies and groundwater investigation and development programs throughout Australia from 1990.  He was previously a hydrogeologist with the Western Australian Geological Survey (subsequently Water and Rivers Commission) where he was seconded to the Water Corporation.

David is now a proprietor of Global Groundwater and prior to the Western Australian Geological Survey he gained experience with the Victorian Rural Water Commission as well as a Western Australian hydrogeological consulting firm, Rockwater Pty Ltd and by working as an independent consulting hydrogeologist.

He has been involved in hydrogeological investigations and groundwater development projects for mining companies, gas utilities, urban and horticultural land developers, construction companies, aboriginal communities, marine parks as well as local and state governments.  His range of project experience includes designing and managing hydrogeological programs, potable and industrial groundwater supply and management, aquifer assessment including test pumping, surface and down-hole geophysical surveys and large modeling programs for development of city water supplies.  He is also skilled in contract specification and documentation,  project administration, drilling and bore construction supervision.
