Richard has significant experience in hydrogeology throughout Australia since 1992. He was previously a hydrogeologist with the Western Australian Geological Survey (subsequently Water and Rivers Commission) where he undertook regional hydrogeological and environmental projects.  Richard is now a proprietor of Australian Bore Consultants Pty. Ltd. (Global Groundwater) and prior to the Western Australian Geological Survey, he was employed as a research scientist with an agricultural enterprise and also in mineral exploration and mining.

He has been working in hydrogeological investigations, groundwater development projects and environmental assessments for mining companies, urban and horticultural land developers, construction companies, aboriginal communities and government agencies.  His range of project experience includes, designing and managing groundwater exploration and agricultural research programs, hydrogeological assessments for groundwater contamination, industrial and potable groundwater supply and mine dewatering programs, down-hole geophysical and video assessment surveys, aquifer assessment, groundwater modeling and remote sensing studies.  He is also experienced in contract preparation, project administration and drilling operations and supervision.
